Best ever eye make-up tips from Armani

These are the best eyeliner and mascara application tips ever courtesy of an Armani makeup artist at Saks.

For eyeliner, use a creamy long-lasting black pencil, like the ones from Armani, Lancome or Loreal Infallible. Look down into a hand mirror.  Line the INSIDE of your upper lid with small back and forth motions  The end result is a darkened lash line without a "lined" look.  Very rich.  If you want you can add a smoky line above the last line for additional definition or night-time glamor.  Note; this is a similar look to that favored by Laura Mercier and Bobby Brown, but they use powder and a straight-edge brush for a (too) natural eye look.

For mascara, use Estee Lauder Projectionist or Armani's new shiny mascara. Look DOWN.  Coat underneath lashes (which is on top when you are looking down.)  Then, STILL LOOKING DOWN, coat the tops of the lashes with upward strokes which will also curl them.  This is how makeup artists get that great look.

Cold weather finds for glowing skin and great hair

Have the heat on all night?  Try using a thick cream like  Eucerin PLUS Intensive Repair Body Creme (available at Walgreens and CVS, etc)  for glowing hydrated skin in the morning. Works better than expensive age-fighting creams in cool weather because it has one mission- hydration.

An insider tip recently to fight winter- dry, static-y hair. A tiny bit of a Shea butter cream, run through the dry parts of your hair with your hands, works wonders. Leaves a non-shiny, non-frizzy healthy look.   L'Occitane makes the most famous Shea crean; and they are happy to give you free foil packet samples at the register.  Use a pin to make a tiny hole in the foil and that free sample will last for months.
