Bobbi Brown, the famed makeup artist, recommends
1. Lining your eyes to take the focus off of fine lines and wrinkles. Line the top near the lashes. Make the line slightly wider at the far end of your eye. At night, you can widen the line allover, add subtle wings and color! 
2. Under eye liner is optional. If you do line underneath, go all the way across the eye.

ARTIST TIP #2- 
Sandy Linter, celebrity makeup artist and author of the Makeup Wake up recommends:
1.Lining the upper lid from the inner corner to the pupil as a very important step for youthful definition! It really works.
2. Using a PENCIL to line the crease above the eyelid. This gives much more definition than eyeshadow; and it works like a mini eye lift. Use a neutral pencil to do this. I like the Physicians Formula dark taupe. Layer eyeshadow over the line.

1. Pick a set of basic colors to use all day, every day- brown, black, neutrals.
2. Pick a second set that includes your favorite trendy color- blue, green, purple.
3. LAYER the liners. Use a lighter color that enhances your eye color on the bottom. That's what the pros do. That's how they get those multi-dimensional looks.  With these pencils, it's easy.

Lipstick- Pick a lipstick that is your natural lip color but slightly darker.  This makes you look pretty and polished but still natural. Liner-  All you need are the basics. Well-lined eyes are important! They take the focus off of the little wrinkles, etc....  Black or brown to start. Add your navy or royal blue for a trendy, open-eyed look that is  sexy at night without looking like a club chick.
